With Summer and our vacations in full swing, we all know there is nothing better than coming home with a post-holiday glow. Over here at SkinOwl, we do love that healthy bronzed look but we’re not so down for laying out in the sun. As you probably know, tanning isn’t the best for your skin or your health. Unfortunately, that healthy tanned look isn’t so healthy after all. But no worries, we’ve got a great solution for any of you looking for an easy and UV-free way to get that sun-kissed glow without the sun damage.
Being a huge fan of sunless tanners as a solution to my pasty, sunscreen worshipping self, I’ve been loving this simple air brushed self-tan DIY. With only two ingredients, it couldn’t be simpler to make and it’s a perfect way to add a bit of color and glow to your body and face in a pinch.
Air Brushed Self-Tan Recipe
4-5 squirts of SkinOwl Body Oil
1 small scoop of loose mineral bronzing powder (approx 1/4 tsp)
Mix ingredients together in a small bowl until smooth and clump free. If you don’t have a loose mineral bronzer, you can use a knife to scrape some powder from the top of your baked or pressed bronzer. Once mixed, you can use your hands to apply the bronzing oil all over.
I’ve been loving this illuminating and moisturizing combo as an easy way to add a bit of color to my face and body. I think this air brushed self-tan is perfect to get your Summer glow on for the beach or a night out. If you end up creating this DIY or any of our other SkinOwl DIYs, please share it with #skinowldiy so we can check it out! We’d love to see all of your recreations.
