So, I imagine a lot of people are looking at SkinOwl’s latest launch, The Glow Stick, with one of five (or more) questions:
- How do I use The Glow Stick?
- How is The Glow Stick different from my Beauty Wand?
- Does it really do ‘something’ to the skin?
- Is this a medieval weapon?
- And my favorite question I received in my Insta DMs today: Does it vibrate?
I’m here to set the record straight. Without any
What Is The Glow Stick?
For starters, let’s break down what exactly it is, it’s benefits, and why it was the missing link in my lock tight skincare regimen. For starters, The ‘Stick’ is encrusted with 30 Germanium stones for ample lifting, smoothing, and contouring. In lamens terms, if you’re dealing with fatigue, puffiness, or ‘blah’ texture and tone, you will absolutely notice a difference from the inclusion of this tool. Germanium’s (often confused with Geranium) natural ability to emit negative electrons helps to rebalance and increase positive ions in the body, eliminating harmful free radicals, ridding the skin of lymph (excess fluid), and boosting collagen production. It is, in sum, a semiconductor, thus able to stimulate current. This current is what emits electrons to increase ions and in the end, benefit you and your skin.

Will The Glow Stick Work For Me?
Can you use it alone? Yes. Can you use it alongside your Beauty Drops, Beauty Whip, Eye+ or Neck+? YES. Do I prefer the latter? Absolutely.
Here are some more answers to your questions: Can you use it on the backs of the arms to help tone and depuff after a workout? Yep. Can you use it on the backs of the legs to minimize the appearance of cellulite? Heck yes. Can you store it in the fridge and break it out whenever you have a case of the ‘tech neck’ or migraine?
Before I go on, let me quickly mention who can’t use The Glow Stick: For starters, it does not vibrate :) Second of all, you’ll want to avoid contact with sensitive areas such as the middle of the throat and any open wounds. If you have a pacemaker or electronic implanted device, have metal allergies, have epilepsy, cancer, are in your first trimester, or have any medical concerns, please consult your doctor prior to using this beauty roller. And while I’m at it, I will make mention that this is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Moving on…
How Do You Use It?
SO, how do you use it? I am here to help! Essentially, the top of the wand twirls and whirls. This is going to serve as your roller. You’ll grip the smoother side for all of your

Roll in both vertical and horizontal motions after applying your favorite Beauty Drops, Body+ or Beauty Whip, paying softer attention to the sensitive areas of the face, such as under the eye and center of the throat. Use to lift, depuff and contour the face, decolletage, arms, thighs, tush, and tummy. For best results, chill in the fridge to help de-puff and boost circulation. Use daily for best results.
This is something that should last you a VERY long time. You don’t have to worry about it breaking, as Germanium and Aluminum are both super strong and sturdy. You don’t have to worry about it getting icky with product. Rinse with sudsy soap water whenever you use product and you’re GOLDEN (pun intended). And it’s an amazing travel buddy if you’re prone to airplane puffiness, wine puffiness, or sleep deprivation puffiness AND fatigue.
