We get a lot of questions asking about TONERS. “What are they? When do I use one? Can I use it at night if I used it the morning already?” A skin toner can help reduce oil and acne while refreshing your skin and shrinking pores. Unfortunately, most commercial toners are made with alcohol that can dry your skin because they often contain fragrances, preservatives, and chemicals that can irritate your skin. So when we came across this Apple Cider Vinegar Toner DIY we just had to pass it along! You can make your own apple cider vinegar skin toner for a fraction of the cost and without alcohol, fragrance, or chemicals. Yahoo! Check it out…
Ingredients and Supplies:
Apple cider vinegar
A small plastic bottle to store your toner
A glass bowl
In a glass bowl, mix one part apple cider vinegar and three parts distilled water. If your container is four ounces, use one ounce apple cider vinegar and three ounces of water.
Mix well and pour in your bottle using the funnel.
To use, wet a cotton ball with toner and wipe your face.
There are many kinds of vinegar available, but apple cider vinegar works best because it is the right Ph balance for your skin. Regular vinegar is too acidic and can irritate your skin. You can find apple cider vinegar in the grocery store with other vinegars and salad dressings.
If you have oily skin, you may want to add a little more apple cider vinegar. For dry skin, use more water. If you notice that your face is too oily or too dry after using this recipe, adjust it to your needs the next time you make it. Homemade apple cider vinegar skin toner does have a strong odor, but it will fade quickly after using it.
You should use a skin toner at least once a day to make sure you remove all of the oil, dirt, and dead skin cells on your skin. These can clog pores and lead to acne. A toner can also make large pores appear smaller temporarily, which improves your complexion.
