Things We Love: Yoga Benefits

We love yoga! Just in case you are new to yoga or you are thinking about trying it for the first time, we recommend taking a look at this chart which highlights the benefits of doing yoga on a regular basis.  And for those seasoned yogis, it never hurts to have a little reminder! Our favorite thing about yoga? The way our skin glows after an hour long class. Between the deep breathing, the twisting and turning causing our organs to detox, and the perspiration, it’s no wonder our skin thanks us for the workout!

Skinny Tips: Morning Yoga Sequence

We all know that daily exercise is good for our body and mind, but did you know that many yoga poses are actually good for the skin?!

 

Yoga poses help blood flow to all areas of the body including the head, which leads to good blood circulation around the eyes and cheeks.  Plus yoga, like most exercise, makes you sweat which purifies and detoxes your body and skin.

 

If the thought of going to a yoga class sounds a bit daunting, here are a few simple postures that you can do at home when you wake up in order to get that blood flowing. Go on, get the body sweating, and watch how it trickles positively into every aspect of your day!
