1.) What was your favorite city?
SEATTLE! I’d never been and everyone has always romanticized it. It ended up being one of our favorite days on tour, hands down. The energy in that city was palpable & we all totally bonded that day.

2.) Favorite breakfast spot on the road?
It’s a tie between Mello Velo Cafe in Syracuse NY and SNOOZE in Downtown Denver (Oh my WORD, it was good!). Mello Velo was so good in fact, that I went back for a second time before we moved on to the next city and I WISH I could’ve had another Breaky at SNOOZE. SO. GOOD.
3.) What song reminds you of your time on tour?
Oh well, if this isn’t the “loaded baked potato” of questions. Obviously, the songs I sang in the show will always remind me of this tour: O Holy Night, Hark! The Herald Angel’s Sing, Let it Snow, Winter Wonderland etc…
BUT: “Back in The Van” by my Dudes, The Night Game. It explains itself.
HOWEVER, there is another song that was introduced to me on the road called, “Soul Survivor” by British singer, Beverly Knight & it is everything. Give it a listen… You’re welcome.

4.) Favorite Theater?
We visited so many beautiful theaters on this tour, it’s hard to choose just one. I have
4 favorite houses: Paramount Theater in Seattle, The Fabulous Fox in St. Louis Missouri, The Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie & last but not least The Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City.
5.) Favorite SkinOwl ritual on tour?
I would steam using my Vicks Vaporizer – sometimes I’d use it with the Marigold glow.
I’d even use it just the hot steam. It was good for both my super dry winter skin & vocal cords. I would always use my Maqui Whip as a primer before I applied my stage makeup & once my face was cleansed & free of the heavy makeup, I’d drench my skin in more Maqui Whip for bedtime.

6.) Favorite SkinOwl product on tour?
BODY OIL! My skin was so dry & chapped from the harsh weather, the body oil saved my life!
7.) Favorite Fan moment?
…Besides the Team SkinOwl Parade in Thousand Oaks? Mmmmmm I’m pretty sure that was the best.
8.)What is one-moment selfcare came in handy while living on a tour bus?
The Tour bus was really the best & I’m so lucky to have had such a great experience. I would take as much time as I could to be by myself. I would go on therapeutic walks and take myself to a delicious brunch. I loved being alone with my music and exploring these new cities with a fresh coffee in hand from a local roaster. My brain was so stimulated all the time, so finding time to center my energy and blow off extra steam wasn’t only necessary, it kept me intact. *Cue “Back in the Van”
9.) What was your favorite cocktail to cheers after a successful show?
HA! There was a small group of us that would seek out the best Irish Pub in whatever city we were visiting. We would gather on one of the two busses after the show and then head over for a fresh n’ frothy Guinness! If the bus needed to roll early or weather didn’t permit, we’d make ourselves some kick a$$ Mules on the bus.
10.) What is your takeaway?
Looking back on this tour makes me so emotional. It’s almost impossible to put into words what this experience did to me – it changed me forever. I was introduced to parts of myself I didn’t know existed. My soul was awakened to so much joy, so much love, so much bliss.
One doesn’t anticipate that a “little gig” will change you for the better. I know I sure didn’t.
To my Cirque Fam: I was introduced to the most incredible souls and made memories that will last a lifetime. We did nothing but laugh and love each other. You don’t realize how much your soul needs it until you experience that level of boundless joy. My cheeks still hurt (my face & my bum).
The performance: Singing feeds my soul. What a privilege to share my gift every day and night to sold-out theaters across America. Music is its own language. It moves people in general but Holiday music takes it to the next level. The joy that this show brought to families and to my heart was honestly the best Christmas gift ever and one that I will forever cherish.
It goes without saying that I can’t wait to get back out on the road. If you’d like to see “A Magical Cirque Christmas” in 2019, be sure to follow them on Instagram & check to see if we’re coming to your city! @magicalcirquechristmas
