It is tempting to reach for the things in life that look good on the outside, be it clothes, cars, or expensive items that make your home or ring finger sparkle. Despite the aesthetic beauty of these things, it’s important to check in with yourself and always make sure that everything in your life (people, places, and things) are also making you feel good on the inside. Just because something looks good on the outside or “impresses” those around you does not mean it is necessarily making you feel good internally. When you live a life among people you love and that love respect you back, and in a place that makes you feel happy and alive, you are rich in the things that truly matter. Buying something is easy. But feeling your life and the rich fullness of the intangible is what makes it all worth it in the end!
