At 28 weeks pregnant, let me tell you THERE IS A LOT OF SHIT YOU CAN BUY WHEN YOU’RE PREGNANT. I mean, how did our parents do it with only THREE strollers and zero phone chargers in their diaper bag. I meannnn, it’s insane how many things I could buy (and truly believe I need) just from my Instagram algorithm. As a result of said product bombardment, my goal very early on was ‘pick it and stick with it.’ My dear friend and podcast guest, Meghan Wallace James, told me, “Annie, you will get sucked in by all of the maternity clothes. You don’t need them. Find a uniform, be it black leggings and a black t-shirt, and jazz it up with accessories such as hats and hoops.’ This was some of the best advice I’ve ever been given. It A) allows me not to think about what I’m going to wear and B) keeps things simple and affordable.
Now, if you think I could go crazy with maternity clothing, imagine what I could do with my beauty routine. In the wake of fatigue and bloat, nothing sounds better than a new concealer. Or lipstick. Except maybe carrot cake. But I digress…

The point of this blog is to really hit you with my go-to’s. The products I literally use every single day, without fail. These products are keeping my skin, color, and hair in check and with how much there is to sift through, I hope that this list helps people hone in on what might work for you too. Let’s start with SkinOwl…
In order of application for AM —
Matcha Beauty Bar (amazing wake up call)
Neck+ for fatigue and congestion
Geranium Beauty Drops (5 drops) for acne
Beauty Whip (2 pumps) for dark marks
Eye+ for puffiness
In order of application for PM —
Same as above, just swap out Geranium Beauty Drops with Maqui Berry Beauty Drops
Bodycare —
Mix SkinOwl Body Oil and Neck+ together and apply onto tummy, breasts, hips and legs nightly. This helps with the prevention of stretch marks, texture and tone, and dark marks. It also makes me feel REALLY good and helps tone down swelling, especially when I keep my Neck+ in the fridge.

Haircare —
One word. Innersense. I am completely indebted to this line for keeping my hair and scalp BALANCED. I hear a lot of pregnant women get dry scalp and itchiness. I am so happy to report this has kept my hair in TIP TOP shape. Here are my preg-go-tos:
Hydrating Cream Conditioner
Hydrating Hair Bath (shampoo)
I Create Lift Volumizing Foam
I Create Waves Texturizer (like, literally everyday)
Makeup —
When it comes to makeup, I tend to keep things breathable and light. Now that we are going into warmer months, I’m happy to keep things as is, with a focus on definition and ease.
Brows: Ere Perez Brow Pencil in Almond (I use this as my lip liner too. See below)
Mascara: Milk Makeup Kush Mascara in Black
Foundation: Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation or Quinoa Water Foundation (both of these are INCREDIBLE. If you’re looking for smooth, supple coverage, try these. Quinoa for less coverage. Oat Milk for more, see below)
Bronzer: Vapour Organics Solar Bronzer Stick
Lips: Vapour Organics Aura Multi-Use Stain in Sultry (fleshy pink) AND Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pots in Happy (tomato red)

So, there you have it. That is the master list. If I’m not wearing this, I’m rocking fresh skin to give it a breather for two days at a time. Have any questions on how best to use these products? Feel free to email us at info@skinowl.com for any and all!
