As you know from one of my last posts, I’ve just returned from the trip of a lifetime. I spent the month of October as a digital nomad in Bali, working from coffee shops and coworking spaces, and more often than I’d like to admit, the beach. During this experience I discovered an incredible community dedicated to green and sustainable living. Because of our dedication to clean beauty here at SkinOwl, I thought I’d share with you guys a number of amazing green Balinese brands for you to check out if you ever end up in that part of the world.

Beauty Brands
Bali Balance
This line includes all natural products for the face, body, hair, and senses made from Balinese plants. Made locally, Bali Balance helps to give back to the communities of the island that produce so many of the ingredients in their formulas. From face serums and body wash, to insect repellant and soy wax candles, this brand is sure to meet your green beauty needs while visiting the Island.

Utama Spice
This 100% natural skincare company is based in Ubud, Bali, one of the spiritual capitals of the world. Their blend of traditional herbal knowledge with the raw power of nature creates products intended to enhance the skin’s beauty. Their products contain ingredients such as aloe vera, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and ginger to name a few.

Surfyogis
This is a natural alternative to chemical laden sunscreens. Packed full of natural ingredients such as beeswax, coconut oil, and chocolate, this zinc based sunscreen is so pure, it’s edible! But they don’t recommend eating it. Produced in Bali and put to the test by surfers in Indonesia, Australia, Hawaii, and California, this sunscreen will not disappoint.
