Hey there Beauty Birds! Have you seen our feature in a recent article by Beauty Independent? Well, just in case you haven’t we wanted to give you the highlights.
As you know, here at SkinOwl, we’re about breaking the mold, doing things differently, and expanding out of conventional roles. Although we began as a skincare brand offering a line of three Argan Infusions, now better known as our Beauty Drops, we now proudly have a line containing over 20 products, a podcast based on presenting vulnerability in a truly raw and transparent way, and a dinner series that brings together individuals who are trying to leave a mark on the world.
Throughout this past year of expansion, Annie made a few discoveries about what she felt was right for the future of SkinOwl.
“Over the last year, it has dawned on me that I don’t want to go the Target or Sephora route. I don’t want to sell my company in two years, and I don’t need to make millions. I’d rather have a small team and work with small, special experiences,” she said.
She goes further, connecting deeper with her mission, saying
“2018 has been all about digging into how we can help people on a deeper level than skincare. That’s always been my main concern, not necessarily creating product, but it is about how can I show people that I care deeply for them.”
From launching our “Off The Record” Podcast to hosting our 1st Anniversary of the Parliament Project this month, this year, we’ve been busy. But no worries, “the product line is not going anywhere, but it will be complemented by these other things”, Annie says, emphasizing,
“Nobody needs to be just one thing. Sometimes showing your wholeness can create a bigger brand story personally and professionally.”
