Hello to one of our favorite social butterflies of the Zodiac, Gemini! As we enter into Gemini season on May 21, also the day the Mercury moves into Gemini, we will begin to feel the shift from Taurus season. During Taurus season, we spent time listening to our hearts desires, we were passionate about love, work and home.
Gemini is an air sign and ruled by Mercury, the planet ruling communication and intellect. We are transitioning from a very sensually stimulating month, into a very intellectually stimulating month. This is the time to start a new book, the time to begin research on a project you might have had on hold, and reconnect with old friends or spark a connection with new ones. This is will be a time to go out, enjoy the lightness of life, have fun, be playful, be silly and be witty.
Gemini is the youngest of the Air signs, the twins want to learn, they have the itch to expand their horizon, ask questions, question the truth, challenge others and be challenged. All in good fun, of course.
Be open to meeting new people, and trying things that you normally wouldn’t. The universe supports your spontaneity right now, in fact, it encourages it. New opportunities will arise when you stand strong with your ability to move with the wind. Stay light and on your toes, be ready to dance with life’s music, there will be plenty of it surrounding you.
Here are some of this months tips + tricks to getting the most out of life and love and laughter.
- Spend time being active and outdoors. I always suggest yoga because, I mean come on, it’s the perfect activity alone or with a group, but don’t limit your practice to a sequence you have built or that you saw online. Be playful. Close your eyes and feel your way through your practice. Let it become a flow. If you are able to practice outside, Pocahontas the heck out of it – sing with the voices of the mountain and paint with the colors of the wind. Let your limbs become brushes and paint the world around you with your instinctual drive to move. If yoga isn’t your jam, that’s okay! Go to the beach and rent a bike, take a long walk, go hiking on a new trail, go swimming, do cartwheels in a grassy field, rent a Bird scooter and be 12 years old again. Let yourself look silly and be the catalyst for everyone around you. Start a movement of movement!
- Read and write. Spend a good amount of me time with a book in your hand that inspires you, or even podcasts if reading isn’t really your thing. Really listen and get inspired by what it is that you’re spending your time and energy on. Take notes and journal your way through it. Let yourself process out your mental journey and check in with yourself!
- Challenge yourself to do something outside of your comfort zone. I can say with confidence that, because of the social media and technology takeover of our generation, humans are generally less comfortable striking up conversations with strangers and putting their phones away. If this resonates, try it. Put your phone in your pocket and go out and find a kindred spirit to connect with. This is why we are all here. Human connection is why we are all here. This is what it’s all about. Hit a stranger with a smile, make a bad dad joke to kick things off, and let that evolve into a great night of banter or maybe if you’re lucky a life-long friendship. Optimistic I know, but what can I say, Gemini season brings it out of me!
Sending you all light and love, always always always.
